Schiphol Real Estate developed a new freight building in the Netherlands for DSV Panalpina. This is one of the largest logistics service providers in the world and its management chose Amsterdam Schiphol Airport as the location for its Dutch base.
Efficiency
This industrial building in the Netherlands radiates logistics in every way with clear and logical routings aimed at expediency and efficiency. The freight building consists of an industrial space on the ground floor and offices on the first floor. The area of the industrial space is around 10,000 m² gross floor area and the offices have a gross floor area of around 2,000 m².
Safety
The freight building is located along the Kaagbaan runway at Schiphol, which required all kinds of design conditions to ensure road safety. Special attention was also paid to fire safety. Among other things, this meant the addition of a highly advanced and extensive sprinkler network. Schiphol expects that the freight volume will increase substantially due to DSV Panalpina’s expansion.
