Developer EDGE Technologies transformed this former bank in the centre of Eindhoven into a smart and highly sustainable office building, while preserving its original features. The Dutch Central Government Real Estate Agency are the occupants of the newly renovated building.
Sustainable
UNStudio made the new design for the office building that has been built with BREEAM-NL Excellent label. With no natural gas heating, but heat and cold storage, the building has no CO2 emissions. The office has next-generation sustainable technical installations for solar panels, climate systems, sensor technology and energy-efficient thermal storage. Circular building elements ensure the further sustainable performance of the building.
bbn provided cost management services as well as contract management and site supervision. This project included an Engineer & Build contract, meaning that the contractor took responsibility for fulfilling all requirements according to the agreed budget.
